[Alexei definitely does value rigid obedience in his knights, as well as generally having a sense of foresight to begin with, but he can appreciate the notion that someone had the balls to attempt something that insane, even if he's going to go about voicing it in a way that implies damnation by faint praise.]
Fortunately, more competent people have tried and failed. This one isn't going to succeed, either.
